Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen and tone your back, abdominal and pelvic muscles; also known as your “core stability”. The series of low repetition, low impact stretching and conditioning exercises will also help improve your posture and body awareness.
The medical world is now realising the benefits of the Pilates method for the prevention and rehabilitation of back injuries. In order to prevent a recurrence of back pain, it is essential to retrain the deep abdominal and spinal muscles.
